New Talent - David Gardner

David Gardner is a multi-disciplinary artist based in London. He graduated with a BA in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins - whilst studying there, he gained experience in the design studios of Louis Vuitton in Paris and also the design studios of Hussein Chalayan, London. David went on to set up his own independent studio, combining both his talents for fine art and design. David furthered his studies at the Royal Drawing School, completing his Masters in January 2020.

David has shown work in many group shows: The Drawing Year show at Christies, London; Greek Street Artists Summer Show, Maison Bertaux, London; Borgo Pignano residency show, Tuscany; Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, national tour around the U.K.

His work has been collected by Sir Paul Smith, Sir Mike Moritz, and is also part of the Royal Collection. David's work belongs to many other private collections in the U.K, U.S, France and Italy.

All of 'The Dance' series of works are observational drawings of the human form - capturing the chaos, movement and many glances at once. Many forms of the body overlap, creating an expressive choreography of limbs and souls in one space. Bodies disappear, emerge and fuse together - the images slowly reveal - always offering something new to discover within them. These life drawings were made whilst studying at the Royal Drawing School.
